Footwear Allergies

Many people are allergic to some of the chemicals that are commonly used in shoes. One of these is Chromate allergy. We can make our clogs using a Natural colored Vegetable-tanned leather that is free of all chromate tanning processes. It is essentially the same as Saddle leather. It will start out as a light natural color and deepen over time. |

Other people are allergic to the rubber cements that typically hold commercial shoes together. Because we use a wood midsole, the wearer's feet are isolated from the cemented outsole. Because our regular clogs are fully lined with Vegetable-tanned leather and glued to the upper leather with Urethane adhesive, some allergy sufferers may be able to wear them.
